The footballer, the model and the Bulgarian Mafia

Interesting tale in the Telegraph this week about a reserve player for Liverpool falling out with a Bulgarian Mafiosi.

The reserve team goalkeeper Nikolay Mihailov is reportedly under armed guard in his native Bulgaria following a row with a notorious mafia godfather over model Nikoleta Lozanova.

Mihailov allegedly joked to local media that if his new girlfriend was a Ferrari, Nikoleta must be a broken down Trabant from the old East Germany. Oh dear.
